Privacy Policy for DripTalk

Welcome to DripTalk ("we," "our," or "us"). DripTalk is your personal AI stylist app designed to help you chat, get inspired, and shop smart. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal information is handled securely and transparently.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the DripTalk mobile application (the "App"). This policy complies with the privacy guidelines and requirements set forth by the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

By downloading, accessing, or using DripTalk, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

To provide our core AI styling services, we require certain permissions and data. We strictly limit our data collection to what is necessary for the App to function.

A. Camera and Photo Library (Images)

  • What we collect: With your explicit permission, we access your device’s camera and photo library to allow you to upload photos of your outfits, clothing items, or yourself.

  • How we use it: We use these images to provide personalized fashion advice, analyze your style, and generate tailored recommendations.

  • Storage: Images are temporarily processed to generate AI styling recommendations. We do not use your personal images to train our AI models without your consent, nor do we sell them to third parties.

B. Facial Detection Data (Face Data)

  • What we collect: DripTalk utilizes on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit Face Detection) to analyze facial features (such as face shape) to recommend suitable accessories, glasses, hairstyles, or necklines.

  • How we use it: This technology detects structural facial landmarks solely to generate fashion and styling advice. It does not identify you uniquely (it is not Facial Recognition).

  • Storage & Sharing: All facial detection processing happens on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share your Face Data with any remote servers or third parties. Once the styling recommendation is generated, the temporary landmark data is immediately discarded.

C. Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Fingerprint)

  • What we collect: For your security and convenience, DripTalk allows you to lock/unlock the app using your device’s native biometric hardware (e.g., Apple Face ID, Android Fingerprint/Biometrics).

  • How we use it: We use this to authenticate you locally on your device.

  • Storage: We do not have access to your biometric data. The raw biometric data (fingerprint or facial map) never leaves your device and is securely handled by your device’s operating system (Secure Enclave/Keystore).

D. Chat and AI Interactions

  • What we collect: When you chat with your AI Stylist, we collect the text inputs, preferences, and feedback you provide.

  • How we use it: This data is sent to our trusted third-party AI processing partners strictly to generate your style recommendations and conversational responses.

  • Privacy note: Please do not share highly sensitive personal information (like social security numbers or financial details) in the chat.

E. Location and Preferences

  • What we collect: We may collect your selected country/city (via our region picker) to provide localized shopping links, relevant seasonal clothing recommendations, and accurate sizing metrics. We do not track your precise GPS location.

2. Third-Party Services and AI Processing

DripTalk relies on select third-party services to function. These services have their own privacy policies and are bound by strict data processing agreements:

  • AI Language Models: Your text chat queries may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate stylist responses. They are prohibited from using your chat data for targeted advertising.

  • Google ML Kit: Used locally on your device for fast, private face-shape detection.

  • Analytics and Crash Reporting: We may use tools to collect anonymized crash reports and usage metrics (e.g., app version, device OS) to improve app stability.

3. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We believe your data belongs to you. DripTalk retains your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our styling services.

How to Delete Your Account and Data:

In compliance with Google Play Data Safety and Apple App Store guidelines, you have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

  1. Open the DripTalk app.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Account.

  3. Tap Delete Account.

  4. Delete Account Descripiton Link

Alternatively, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team at driptalkapp@gmail.com.

Upon deletion, your profile, chat history, saved styles, and uploaded images will be permanently erased from our active databases.

4. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal information.

  • We use Secure Storage mechanisms to encrypt sensitive tokens and session data locally on your device.

  • All data transmitted between your device and our servers (or third-party AI APIs) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS).

5. Children's Privacy

DripTalk is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum legal age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete that data from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

6. Required App Store Disclosures

For Apple App Store Users (TrueDepth API / Face Data):

As stated in Section 1B, any facial analysis relies on standard camera feeds and does not utilize TrueDepth APIs for persistent tracking. No mathematical representations of your face are transmitted off-device, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties.

For Google Play Store Users (AI-Generated Content):

DripTalk utilizes generative AI to provide styling advice. We actively filter and monitor responses to prevent the generation of inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content. However, AI can occasionally produce unexpected results. Users can report inappropriate AI responses directly within the chat interface.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
